bio
Joshua Fletcher is an Atlanta-based singer-songwriter whose work lives at the intersection of indie rock, Americana, and introspective folk. Steeped in lyrical precision and emotionally grounded storytelling, Fletcher writes songs that explore the quiet tensions of everyday life and the shifting nature of our world and how we find ourselves within it.
Fletcher’s forthcoming album, Orthodoxy, his first since 2015’s Ready, Aim, marks his most cohesive statement to date—a collection that examines the systems we inherit and what it means to question them. Recorded at Big Trouble Studios with producer/engineer TJ Elias and featuring Grouplove’s Dan Gleason and Benjamin Homola, Orthodoxy blends live-in-the-room instrumentation with moments of subtle experimentation as it moves between hushed confessionals and swelling, full-band arrangements, inviting listeners into a space that is as reflective as it is raw.
With a reputation for evocative live performances, Fletcher has built his following through both recorded work and the stage, offering songs that don’t chase easy answers, but instead sit comfortably in complexity. Joshua Fletcher has shared stages with artists like Butch Walker, The Damnwells, Augustana, Larkin Poe, and the Jayhawks, and has spent time on some of the most storied stages in American music history.
